I would like to give my warmest thanks to the Skelpit Lug Ceilidh Band for playing some excellent music at our Civic Reception on the 21April 2011 in the Royal George Hotel. It was a very special night as we were celebrating the 20th anniversary of the twinning agreement between Perth and the town of Cognac in France.
There were over 30 French visitors, many of whom spoke little English. They were delighted to be given directions and led through the dances by Craig, who speaks very good French. This ensured that everyone, French and Scots, took part in the dances and that the Ceilidh was very successful indeed.
I am very happy to recommend the Skelpit Lug Ceilidh Band for any big occasion, but especially if there is a significant French contingent.

Many thanks to the Skelpit Lugs for playing for our group at the Stirling Management Centre on Saturday (4th June 2011) - the Lugs managed to get even the die-hard wallflowers and novices up and dancing, and folk really enjoyed themselves! One of our number video-ed the Shetland wedding reel and posted it up on the ITI ScotNet website, to general hilarity.

Thanks Skelpit Lugs for an amazing evening at the Victoria Halls in Dunblane. The atmosphere that your music created for our wedding reception (30th April 2011) was brilliant and everyone had such a fantastic time! We’ll always remember and cherish that evening, thanks again!

We recently hired the Skelpit Lugs for our Senior Christmas Dance on December 22nd 2010 at McLaren High School and we could not have asked for a better band. Their toe tapping material got everyone up dancing and provided great entertainment for the whole night. The music was very upbeat and enjoyable, with clear instructions which got both pupils and teachers filling the floor and made the evening even more amazing. We would recommend the Skelpit Lugs to anyone looking for a fantastic ceilidh band.
