Can you pass on our heartfelt thanks to all of the band for playing at our family gathering (Gartmore Village Hall, Aberfoyle on 23rd September 2017. Everything was perfect - the pace, the variety and the volume!  Everybody had a fantastic time and really appreciated having a very patient caller.

We booked Skelpit Lug for a 21st birthday ceilidh (St Andrews Lodge, Perth on 22nd July 2017). The crowd ranged in age from pensioner to infant and in dancing ability from accomplished to two left feet.
 
The band were absolutely excellent in keeping the party going and explaining the dances to those who had never been to a ceilidh before. They played a great mix of music and the variety of different dances ensured there was something for everyone. 
 
We had guests from across Europe who said it was one of the best nights they had ever had.
 
I would have no hesitation in recommending Skelpit Lug, they really did bring the event to life!!

Many thanks for playing at our anniversary party (Victoria Hall, Dunblane on 1st July 2017).  We all had a fabulous time thanks to your excellent music! Also thank you again for your flexibility and adaptability - when it was clear that folks were initially more interested in catching up with old friends than dancing you adapted your set accordingly and then picked it up again later when they were more conducive to dancing! We have had many compliments on our choice of band and will certainly recommend you to others!

Skelpit Lug played for our First Step Cafe second anniversary ceilidh (Longcroft Hall, Linlithgow on 6th May 2017).  Many thanks to you all for the excellent music and musicianship.  A special thanks to the caller for keeping the dancers in order!

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to the Skelpit Lug Ceilidh Band who played at my daughter's 21st birthday party (Victoria Hall, Dunblane on 18th March 2017). Everyone had a great night and the dance floor was full from the very first to the very last dance.  The band played a great variety of music and were more than happy to take requests and ideas on board. Booking process was easy and communication from start to finish was brilliant. Really nice people and would highly recommend.

The band were easy to contact and sorted out all of our booking requirements. On the night (Glasgow Uni Union, 4th Feb) they played a great selection of dances for us including a spin on the Virginia Reel and a bespoke "Paddlers Jig" which was simple to learn and went down a storm with all of us kayakers.  We all had a great night with them and wouldn't hesitate to book the band again.
