A fundraising ceilidh was held recently at Bankfoot Church Centre (on 19 November 2016) with the music supplied by the excellent Skelpit Lug Ceilidh Band who led us in some traditional Scottish ceilidh dancing and also introduced us to some interesting new ones. A very enjoyable evening was had by all.

Thank you Skelpit Lug for making our first Laurieston Tennis Club Presentation Night and Ceilidh such a success (Grangemouth Golf Club, 24 September 2016). Your superb music and expert choice of ceilidh dances along with Craig`s banter while instructing the dances ensured the floor was always filled with enthusiastic adults and children. We will certainly look to repeat and celebrate the occasion again next year. Thank you all.

We hired the Skelpit Lugs for our Scottish-Finnish wedding reception (Westlands Hotel, Dunblane, 17 September 2016). They exceeded our expectations by managing to teach the wedding party ceilidh dances as most of them had never been to a ceilidh before. The band tailored the dances to the ability of the group with nothing too complicated, but challenging enough to be lots of fun.

A week on from our ceilidh (just about got over it now!) I wanted to say how much we appreciated the wonderful evening the Skelpit Lugs gave us (Victoria Hall, Dunblane, 10 September 2016). You made such a special effort to come early, work with the lighting restrictions, cope with the ever-changing birthday cake requirements and acknowledge the birthday girls in just the right way. Most importantly the music, dancing, calling (and a bit of banter) were brilliant and everyone has been saying it's the best ceilidh they have been to (high praise indeed!).
