Testimonials
Our friends all thoroughly enjoyed themselves at our Ruby Wedding (at the Cathedral Hall, Dunblane, on Saturday 29th August 2015), despite most of them professing to be non-dancers. The fact that they could join in was largely due to the wonderful way you conduct a ceilidh, with enthusiasm and clarity of direction, and just the right amount of persuasiveness. There was a nice balance of gentle and more vigorous dances and many people commented on the great variety! Everyone enjoyed the music too, including those who couldn't dance, and there were comments as well on how refreshing it was to be able to talk - and hear - unlike at a disco. Please thank the band for making the evening such a great success.

Thanks to all the band for a great musical/dance celebration for our wedding reception (at the Montgomerie Hall, Eaglesham on 15th August 2015). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed dancing along to such wonderful music and the help you give to novice ceilidh dancers is great too.

Eveyone thoroughly enjoyed my birthday ceilidh (at Victoria Hall, Dunblane on 27th June 2015) and your interesting dances! The calling was great and your help was gratefully accepted on the floor. The Lug's ability to adjust to the ever changing format of the evening was greatly appreciated and the finale was perfect. I would happily recommend the band to anyone.

Skelpit Lug are a top class ceilidh band. They not only played well at our wedding (at Stirling Rugby Club on 11 April 2015), but they got the guests dancing, and with their sense of humour and ability they were able to cajole the non dancers into enjoying themselves.

Having experienced the Skelpit Lug Ceilidh Band on a number of occasions at previous events, I had no hesitation in booking them to play at my husband's 50th birthday party (at Strathallan Castle on 17th January 2015) and they proved very popular with both young and old alike. I would highly recommend them.
