Just to say how much we enjoyed the wedding on Saturday (Beechwood Scout Hall, Stirling, 25th September 2009), and thanks so much for providing such great music. It just goes to show that you don't need a posh hotel to have a great wedding, just a good band and lots of people willing to have a ball. We certainly had a ball!

Many thanks indeed to you all for helping make Friday night's ceilidh (King Robert Hotel, Stirling, 21st August 2009) such a success! We raised well over £800 for Strathcarron Hospice and over £40 to cancer research from the rolling of the £1 coins to the whisky bottle. All-in-all a very succesful evening!  What great feed-back we have had from everyone regarding the band and the ceilidh dancing, with a lot of the younger guests re-thinking how they might celebrate their 18th's etc, so hopefully you will get the bookings from them! Many thanks again for everything!

Everyone at the wedding (St Andrews in the Square, Glasgow, 11th April 2009) enjoyed the ceilidh hugely. The Skelpit Lugs talked and walked the first-timers through the steps so that they felt confident about getting up for a dance and were able to enjoy themselves. The Lugs also impressed the hardcore of experienced Scottish country dancers, even introducing them to a few dances they didn't know. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better ceilidh band.  We would also like to commend the band for making everything so easy, not just on the day of the wedding, but in the planning leading up to the big day.  All of our questions were answered promptly and I knew that I could trust the band to do a great job.  I have already recommended the Skelpit Lugs to friends and hope to attend another of their ceilidhs in the near future.

We had a superb evening (at Stirling University Management Centre on 4th October 2008) and the band were excellent, although this was not a surprise as I have seen them before. There was a good atmosphere and the band got a good response to all the dances. The talking through and instructions were very good with the band judging the level of intervention needed perfectly! Several people commented that it was also possible to talk to old friends without being drowned out by the music.

Can I take this opportunity to thank the Skelpit  Lug Ceilidh Band for the excellent music which you performed last night. We held a ceilidh at the Dobbie Hall, Larbert, to raise funds for Syngenta 2000's under-9 football team and have raised about £850.00. This would have been less if you had not given us a discount due to it being a fundraiser. The band are all excellent musicians and helping us learn, and guiding us through, all the dances was great. I will recommend your Band to anyone and hope to use yourselves again in the future.
